South Korean centre-back
Defender Min-Jae Kim joins Napoli from Fenerbahce. The 25-year-old signed a contract with the Serie A club until 2025 including an option for two further years, the transfer fee amounts to €18.05 million, according to the Turkish club.
This puts the 40-time South Korea international, who moved to Istanbul from China last summer, in the top three of Fener’s most expensive sales. The tall centre-back made 39 appearances for the club from the Bosporus in the 2021/22 season, scoring one goal.

In Kalidou Koulibaly (for €38 million to Chelsea) and Sebastiano Luperto (on loan to Empoli), the Italians lost two central defenders in the current transfer summer and, in Leo Östigard (for €5 million from Brighton), already signed one centre-back ahead of the Kim transfer. The South Korean is expected to partner Amir Rrahmani in the back line.
