Complete Update Super Liga
Transfermarkt has updated the market values in the Serbian Super Liga and further underlined Red Star’s supremacy. Even before the update, the serial champions held the highest squad value and featured the three most valuable players – all of whom have been given a further boost, including former Leicester defender Aleksandar Dragovic.
The Austrian centre-back left Bayer Leverkusen last summer and established himself as a regular in Belgrade. For the first time since 2016, when the Austrian was on the verge of his move from Dynamo Kiev to the Bundesliga and was valued at €15 million, Dragovic receives an upgrade (+€1 million).
Worth €5 million, he now shares second place in the league with teammates Aleksandar Katai (+€0.5 million) and Strahinja Erakovic. The latter, who made his breakthrough this year, makes a jump of €2.5 million, the biggest increase in the league.
Market values Super Liga: Markovic down again – Ivanic defends to spot
Former Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic, who joined the Reds for €25 million from Benfica in 2014 and still ranks among the top 20 most expensive signings in the English club’s history, goes down by €0.7 million to €1.8 million. After a mixed season, the 28-year-old therefore drops to his lowest value since 2011 – two years before he left current club Partizan for Portugal for €10 million.
Markovic, Tosic & Co. – The Serbian Super Liga’s record sales
With 23 goals and ten assists across all competitions, Mirko Ivanic is still at the top of the market value rankings with now €8 million (+€1 million). Behind Katai (32 goals, 14 assists), the attacking midfielder was directly involved in the most goals for Red Star, who continue to extend their lead over Partizan in the squad value table. While the titleholders are slightly up by €0.65 million to €51.75 million, their city rivals lose €1.8 million and now stand at €39.36 million.
