Erling Haaland has become the quickest player to reach 50 Premier League goals – by quite some distance.

The Manchester City striker found the back of the net at home to Liverpool to put his side 1-0, celebrating wildly as he soaked in hitting a half-century.

Haaland only joined Man City last summer, but has his 50 league goals in just 48 games, leaving a number of Premier League legends in the dust as a result.

That includes previous leader Andy Cole, who was 17 matches slower than the Norway superstar, achieving the feat in 65 matches.

Premier League legends Alan Shearer and Ruud van Nistelrooy have also been blown out of the water by Haaland.

Newcastle and Blackburn legend Shearer netted the feat in 66 games, whilst Van Nistelrooy did it in 68.

More to follow.
