Jurgen Klopp has sarcastically claimed he loves early kick-offs after becoming fed up with his media coverage.

The Reds’ clash with Manchester City, which is exclusively live on talkSPORT, will be played at 12:30pm on Saturday afternoon.

That makes it tough for returning internationals who now have very limited time to recover ahead of the game.

And this situation is not new for Klopp who has already experienced an early kick-off 12 times since he arrived at the club.

The German has regularly vented his frustration at the scheduling and he is known to hate the timing.

He was once again asked about his thoughts on the kick-off time at his pre-Man City press conference on Friday.

But rather than keep up his angry approach, he decided to provide a much more sarcastic answer to the media this time around.

Klopp said: “My English isn’t good enough to waste our time to make sure you understand.

“Thomas Tuchel explained completely calmly a situation how difficult it is to be a high-quality international footballer.

“And the German newspaper said he had a rant. That wasn’t a rant. he was completely calm.

“No-one wants to hear it. Nobody wants to listen to my explanation.

“I tried a couple of times but whatever I say, you always say something different. I’m already a bit tired of that.”

He then ended with a big grin, exclaiming: “I love playing at 12.30!”

The Liverpool boss then stood up to leave the room as the press laughed at his comments.

This response comes after Klopp made his feelings towards the early kick-off known before the international break.

He said: “How can you put a game like this on Saturday at 12.30pm?

“Honestly, the people making the decisions, they cannot feel football. It is just not possible.

“This is the moment the World pays the most to see a football game.

“And by the way, the players will all come back on the same plane, all the South American players, picking them up from different countries.

“You have to fight your way through the most difficult league in the World and be ready on Thursday and on Sunday, and Thursday.

“And if the Premier League has the opportunity to do it, be ready on Saturday at 12.30pm!”
