Tottenham have been told to follow the same ‘process’ with Ange Postecoglou that rivals Arsenal did with Mikel Arteta.
Former Celtic manager Postecoglou joined Spurs over the summer, coming in as the permanent replacement for Antonio Conte.

The Australian got off to an incredible start in north London, guiding his side to sit at the top of the league, clinching three consecutive Premier League Manager of the Month awards in the process.
He also set the record for the most points earned by a Premier League manager in their first nine games in charge (23).
It’s no wonder talkSPORT’s resident Spurs fan and former midfielder Jamie O’Hara loves him, then.
Tottenham’s form has dipped recently, with Postecoglou’s side falling to three straight defeats in the absence of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and other injured stars.
But O’Hara insists his former club’s manager will be a success, so long as he’s supported by the board with who he wants to bring in – and he’s used an unexpected example of what he believes his side should emulate.
“You have to back this manager,” he told talkSPORT Breakfast. “We’re talking about managers who have had a process like Arteta, [Manchester United boss Erik] Ten Hag, all these managers that have done well.
“Now, all of a sudden you look at the team and they’ve got good squads.
“Postecoglou has only had one transfer window. This is the second one he’s going to have in January.

“The squad isn’t good enough, we know that. The players, if they get injured, the squad isn’t good enough.
“So yes, he has to be backed, he has to be given the money and then we’ll see what happens. But I’m excited for Tottenham, I really am.”
O’Hara is of course referring to his club’s rivals Arsenal giving Arteta the time to build a new squad into challengers following Unai Emery‘s reign, rather than sacking him after consecutive eighth place finishes in the Premier League.
But whilst he’s urging Spurs to follow that model, for now, the former midfielder is loving the road he thinks his club are heading down – even if his joke that they were going to win the league isn’t looking so good right now!
“I’m loving watching Spurs right now,” he said. “Yeah it’s not nice we’re getting beaten and all of a sudden I’ll become the meme of everywhere, everyone saying ‘Jamie said we’re going to do this, Jamie said we’re going to do that’.
“I did say if we haven’t got injuries, and we have got injuries, so it’s a bit tough but we’ve just got to hang in there until we get the players back.”
Spurs next face reigning champions Manchester City on Sunday at the Etihad.
