Venables was an English football legend having spent much of his playing career with Chelsea, Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers, starting his journey as an apprentice at Stamford Bridge in 1958.

However, his career in management was equally as successful, most notably leading Crystal Palace, QPR, Spurs Barcelona and England -where he famously led the Three Lions into Euro 96.

His biggest successes included winning the LaLiga title with Barcelona in 1985, while finishing as runner-up in the European Cup the following year.

He also won the FA Cup as manager of Tottenham in 1991, having also won it as a Spurs player in 1967.

His latter years in management saw him lead the Australian national team to second place in the Confederations Cup, before enjoying a second spell as Crystal Palace boss.

Venables then joined forces with Bryan Robson at Middlesbrough in the 2000/2001 season, before managing Leeds in 2002/2003 in the final managerial post of his career.
