Cameron Carter-Vickers will stay at Scottish club Celtic. The Premiership club announced on Friday evening that they have made the loan deal for the 24-year-old US men’s national team defender permanent. According to various media reports, Tottenham will receive an initial fee of £6 million (€7 million).
After missing just one game for Celtic last season, Carter-Vickers has signed a four-year contract with his new club. “I am so pleased to complete my move to Celtic and I really could not be happier,” Carter-Vickers said in a club statement. “I have loved every minute of my time at Celtic so far and I really wanted to be part of the club’s future.” Carter-Vickers is a Tottenham product but managed just five games for the club.
