American midfielder Tyler Adams scored a highlight-reel goal for Bournemouth on Saturday during their English Premier League match against Sunderland.

In the 15th minute, Adams took advantage of Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs’ aggressiveness by firing a long shot from just past midfield when he saw Roefs was well off his line:

The end result was the longest goal in the Premier League this season and the longest in the league since May 2024 at 43.3 meters:

With the goal, Bournemouth took a 2-0 lead, thus continuing the positive momentum they have built this season, as they entered the match in eighth place in the Premier League table.

Adams, 26, is regarded as one of the best players on the United States Men’s National Soccer Team, and he figures to be a key player for Team USA when the U.S. co-hosts the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Canada and Mexico.
