How Much Could Lane Kiffin Earn on Florida, LSU, Ole Miss Contracts? Insider Weighs In

Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin could be getting a raise no matter where he ends up coaching in 2026.

Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger reported Tuesday that Kiffin is expected to receive at least six years and $11 million in annual salary on his next contract, whether he works out a new deal with Ole Miss or takes a job at LSU or Florida.

The most lucrative offer could potentially come from LSU. According to Dellenger, the Tigers would likely offer Kiffin “at least” $13 million per year.

LSU is also expected to promise Kiffin $30 million in combined roster-building money from revenue sharing and NIL funding, per Dellenger.

Kiffin is making $9 million per year on his current contract with Ole Miss, according to USA Today. That deal is currently set to run through 2031.

The Ole Miss coach has previously said his decision won’t be influenced by money. He also told Dellenger it is difficult for programs to guarantee any specific amount of NIL money, given that contracts have to be approved by a third party.

Since joining the Rebels ahead of the 2020 season, Kiffin has agreed to multiple new contracts, most recently inking an extension in December 2023.

Those extensions haven’t been enough to stop him from being tied to job openings both at Florida, which fired former head coach Billy Napier on Oct. 19, and at LSU, which parted ways with Brian Kelly the following week.

When asked about the rumors connecting him to other programs throughout Ole Miss’ 10-1 start to the season, Kiffin has repeatedly said he loves being in Oxford while declining to officially commit to staying for 2026.

The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel reported Monday that the Rebels had given Kiffin an “ultimatum” with a deadline of Nov. 28 to make his decision, although the head coach has since denied the report.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach then reported Tuesday that Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter had “asked for Kiffin to reach a decision by this upcoming weekend.”

The Rebels are on track to make the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. Whether Kiffin is still with the program by Decision Day could hinge on how he responds to Ole Miss’ reported push for an answer.
