Arsenal have received a monumental injury boost ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The narrative of the 2024/25 campaign has been Arsenal’s list of injuries, leaving Mikel Arteta with an adaptability challenge.
A lack of depth has seen the Arsenal squad stretched, particularly in attack, with both Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus ruled out for the season.
On the flanks came another blow, as Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka picked up hamstring injuries but, a major update has emerged regarding the duo’s recovery.

Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka injury boost for Arsenal
Martinelli was ruled out for weeks with a hamstring blow, while Saka underwent surgery to resolve his problem that was sustained in December.
Given how important Saka is to Arsenal, there was great worry when the news broke regarding the Hale End graduate’s injury, with matters not made easier by Martinelli’s concern.
Ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, a remarkable boost on the duo emerged, following on from Martinelli being spotted with the squad.
The Athletic confirmed that the Brazilian is in the Arsenal matchday squad to face United, revealing that the winger has returned to fitness ahead of schedule.
Partnering the news of Martinelli’s prompt return came an even greater boost, as it was reported that Saka is set to return this month from his hamstring tear.
Initially, it was expected that Saka and Martinelli would return after the international break but, such could happen a lot sooner than anticipated.
A March return is now on the cards for the England international, who will be desperate to make up for lost time after a searing start to the campaign.
