Marc Cucurella, who scored in their last game against Brentford, will miss the game as he’s suspended due to picking up red card against the Bees. He was booked twice with the second coming after the final whistle He’ll return for Chelsea’s game against Fulham on Boxing Day.
Premier League appoint referees for Everton trip
The Premier League has appointed Chris Kavanagh as the referee for Chelsea’s game at Goodison Park on Sunday. He has officiated 11 Premier League matches so far this season, handing out 59 yellow cards, and four red cards. An average of 5.36 cards per game.
Chelsea are yet to see him this season, but his last game came in West Ham’s draw against Bournemouth on Monday night. He handed out two yellow cards during the match.
Kavanagh’s assistants will be Richard West and Tim Wood. West featured alongside Kavanagh in the West Ham and Bournemouth draw. The fourth official will be Tom Bramall who has been the referee in four matches this season, however just one in the Premier League. The video assistant referee will be Graham Scott, who has yet to referee a match this season.
