Liverpool have been handed a fresh verdict in the race to win the Premier League title this season. The Reds dropped two points at the weekend as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Fulham.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota cancelled out strikes from Andreas Pereira and Rodrigo Muniz as Liverpool earned a draw after Andy Robertson’s red card. The draw means that the Reds now have just a two-point lead over Chelsea at the top of the table but do have a game in hand, as well as a nine-point advantage over Manchester City.

Arne Slot’s team are in Carabao Cup action against Southampton in midweek before returning to Premier League duties at the weekend against Tottenham Hotspur. After another dramatic round of top-flight action, it seems that Liverpool’s chances of winning the league title have been predicted once again.

BETSiE, a supercomputer provided by BettingExpert.com, have crunched the numbers and provided an update on how the final Premier League table may look at the end of May. The latest prediction says that Liverpool will win the league title this season ahead of their rivals.

The table has tipped Liverpool to finish on 81.2 points which is enough to win the title ahead of second-placed Chelsea, with a 74.7-point prediction. Arsenal are predicted to finish third with 74.5 points, while Man City are fourth with 70 points, which would be more than 11 behind the Reds were it to come true.

Liverpool have been awarded a 63.9% chance of winning the Premier League this season, as well as a 99.1% chance of finishing in the top four. In contrast, Chelsea have a 16.8% likelihood of winning the title, Arsenal 15.1%, while City have a 3.9% chance.

Liverpool will face Southampton this week in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup before they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at the weekend. That will be the Reds’ final match before Christmas as the New Year fast approaches.
