Returned to Olympiacos in January
With the signings of striker Paco Alcácer and midfielder Miralem Pjanic, Sharjah SC already completed two top transfers this summer. Now the next high-profile player is heading to the United Arab Emirates: Konstantinos Manolas is also about to join the club from Olympiacos.
According to media reports, the 31-year-old centre-back has already said goodbye to his teammates in Greece and is expected to be announced as a new Sharjah player soon. Manolas will reportedly sign a contract until 2024 with the UAE Pro League club, with the option to stay for a further season.

The former Greece international had only returned to Olympiacos in January, for whom he already played from 2012 to 2014, ahead of stints in Serie A with AS Roma and SSC Napoli. During his second spell at the Greek record champions, Manolas made 22 appearances and still has a contract running until 2025, which is set to be terminated in order to reduce salary costs at the club of owner and president Evangelos Marinakis following the signings of Marcelo, James Rodríguez and others.
