Former Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has found a new club. On Monday,LaLiga side Valencia announced that they have signed the 35-year-old Uruguayan forward on a two-year contract. With a market value of €4 million, Cavani, whose contract at Man United expired at the end of the 2021/22 season, was the most valuable center-forward still available on the free agent market (overview).
The Uruguayan scored 19 goals and seven assists in 59 games across all competitions for United. Prior to joining United on a free transfer ahead of the 2020/21 season, the 35-year-old managed 200 goals and 43 assists in 301 games for Paris Saint-Germain and 104 goals and 15 assists in 138 games for Napoli. The forward first became a star playing for Palermo in Serie A.
