Transfermarkt users have voted Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema the Player of the 2021/22 LaLiga Season. The French striker enjoyed a fabulous campaign and, in addition to the league title and the Trofeo Pichichi (top scorer), also is the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or.
Ahead of the gala in Paris on October 17, Benzema won the TM award, which he earned with 74.3% of all votes cast for LaLiga. Teammate Vinicius Junior and Barça talent Gavi made it onto the podium behind the 34-year-old. The veteran was also unstoppable outside of the league and led Los Blancos to the Champions League title with 15 goals.

The voting results in the individual positions illustrate how strong Real Madrid really were. Among strikers, Benzema received the most votes, among midfielders Luka Modric came out on top, in defence David Alaba won and in goal, it was Thibaut Courtois.
