West Ham becomes 9th team to spend €100m – Cornet arrives from Burnley

West Ham United have added further to their attack and, as a result, become one of the highest spending teams this summer. The London-based club have signed Maxwel Cornet from relegated Burnley for more than €20 million. The fee increases West Ham’s spending to more than €100 million this season. 

By reaching the benchmark, West Ham now belong to a group of nine clubs that have already paid more than €100 million this season. By spending €111 million, the team from the British capital is now ranked fifth, just behind city rivals Arsenal.
