Signed from Hull City

Just a few days after Aaron Hickey was signed for a club-record €16.5 million, Brentford have broken their record again by signing Keane Lewis-Potter. The club made the transfer official on Tuesday. The left-winger signed a six-year deal with an option for one additional year. The English U21 national team player arrives from the second division side Hull City for €19 million. Including bonuses, the deal can grow to €25 million.

Lewis-Potter is a Hull City academy product and broke into the first team last season. The winger scored 13 goals and three assists in 48 games across all competitions for the Tigers. The 21-year-old played every single minute in the Championship and was one of the biggest winners in the recent market value update in which he increased his market value by €1 million to now €12 million.

“I am pleased that we have managed to sign one of the biggest young talents in the Championship,” Brentford manager Thomas Frank said in a club statement. “He had a very good season last year. He scored 13 goals and contributed four assists in a team that were fighting a little bit towards the bottom of the league. Those are impressive numbers.
