Led club to semi-final

Indian Super League club NorthEast United FC have confirmed the permanent appointment of Khalid Jamil as head coach. The 44-year-old has been interim coach of the club twice before, most recently until last May after taking over from the sacked Gerard Nus in January. NEUFC achieved the best performance in the club’s history under him, finishing third for the first time and qualifying for the semi-finals, where they lost to ATK Mohun Bagan. Jamil has previously coached Mumbai FC, Aizawl FC, SC East Bengal and Mohun Bagan AC. He won the I-League with Aizawl.
