The summer window is open and clubs are stepping up their efforts to sign and sell players.
Manchester United have finally signed long-time no1 target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, for a ‘fixed transfer fee of £73million’. The young Englishman could be joined at Old Trafford by Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, while talks are advancing with Rennes over French starlet Eduardo Camavinga.
Manchester City are ready to once again splash the cash as they target huge deals for both Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, though managing to prise the pair away from Tottenham and Aston Villa respectively will prove difficult, with Villa confident of Grealish agreeing fresh terms to stay put and Spurs holding firm.
Thomas Tuchel wants Chelsea to make an “immediate” move to sign Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, having made a top-class striker his transfer priority this summer.
Liverpool are believed to be considering offers for Saul Niguez and Youri Tielemans with Porto’s Otavio and Nicolo Barella of Inter Milan also firmly on the radar as well as a potential deal for Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches, while Erling Haaland is said to be interested in a move to Chelsea this summer.
Tottenham’s transfer activity will step up a gear now Nuno Espirito Santo has been confimed as their new manager and they are trying to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna. Nuno reportedly wants to meet Kane for talks over his future before the striker goes on holiday after Euro 2020.
Meanwhile, West Ham are in talks over a deal for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper and former Fulham loanee Alphonse Areola.

Hayden missed some of last season with a knee injury but is now back to full fitness.
All change in goal for Wolves
Wolves are set to sell goalkeeper Rui Patricio to Roma and bring in Jose Sa from Olympiakos as his replacement.

Sa joined Greek side Olympiakos from Porto, initially on loan, in 2018.
Willock set to stay?
Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock had a superb loan spell at Newcastle last season – scoring in each of his last seven appearances in the Premier League.
Unsurprisingly, Newcastle are keen to sign him on a permanent deal.
But reports say that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants to keep the 21-year-old and he will play in a pre-season game against Hibs tonight.
Should he be getting more game time at Arsenal?
Canaries land midfielder
Newly-promoted Norwich have signed midfielder Pierre Lees-Melou from Nice for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old has over 150 Ligue 1 appearances to his name, as well as experience in the Europa League and Champions League.
Over the course of 2020-1 season, Lees-Melou captained the Nice side on 16 occasions, making a total of 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals.
He said: “I appreciate the opportunity in this club and wanted to get the move sorted and start quickly. I’m excited to discover a new country, language and play in the biggest league in the world.”
Rooney hands Morrison chance
The former West Ham and Manchester United midfielder has been without a club for 2021 after a brief spell playing in the Netherlands, but former United team-mate Wayne Rooney has invited him to train with Derby.
Morrison is still only 28. Will he take his chance in the Championship?
Napoli put United target Di Lorenzo up for sale
Giovanni Di Lorenzo’s agent has responded to claims Manchester United are interested in the Italy right-back and made it clear a transfer from Napoli is very possible this summer.
United have been linked with a move for Di Lorenzo to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Di Lorenzo’s agent Mario Giuffredi has confirmed there have been no offers for the 27-year-old but has said he could leave Napoli, who have financial problems.
“When [Napoli president Aurelio] De Laurentiis spoke at the press conference explaining Napoli’s losses, and that all his players are transferable and that if appropriate proposals arrive, he will evaluate himself,” Giuffredi told Radio Marte in Italy.
“If proposals arrive, we are obliged to take them into consideration, also in the interest of Napoli, because it is the president himself who has put everyone on the market.
“So, we feel we are on the market. If an appropriate proposal arrives it’ll be discussed and considered.
“But now they are newspaper talk, I read about Manchester United but now they are newspaper talk. If there were real things, we would be the ones to communicate it to Napoli. At the moment no request has arrived.”
Arsenal to step up attempts to sign White
Arsenal are ready to press ahead with a move for Brighton defender Ben White now that Euro 2020 has finished.
The Gunners have made White one of their top targets this summer and are in talks with Brighton over a deal that could be worth around £50million.
England manager Gareth Southgate made it clear he did not want transfer business taking place during Euro 2020 and players agreed to put talks over their futures on hold.
Arsenal are now ready to press ahead with a move for White and they remain in negotiations with Brighton.
The 23-year-old centre-back is keen on a move to north London and personal terms are not expected to be an issue.
Sancho to undergo United medical today
Jadon Sancho is set to undergo a medical at Manchester United today, with the club keen to complete his £73m signing following the end of Euro 2020.
United agreed a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund last month and Sancho is expected at Carrington to finalise the terms of his move before going on holiday.
Sancho was one of three England players to miss from the penalty spot in Sunday’s shootout defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 Final at Wembley.
The 21-year-old will now have three weeks off ahead of the new Premier League season which starts in a month, with United’s first game at home to Leeds on August 14.
Chelsea preparing ‘big offer’ for Haaland
Chelsea are preparing a “big offer” for Erling Haaland, according to reports in his home country Norway.
The Blues have made Haaland their top transfer target this summer and Norwegian journalist Jan Age Fjortoft claims they are ready to step up their move to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker.
It was reported in Germany last week that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has told club chiefs to make a move for Haaland after making a top-class striker his transfer priority this summer.
And it is now claimed Chelsea are preparing a bid for Haaland, who Dortmund could demand around £150m for.
