FIFA 22 is scheduled to the hit-the-shelves this Friday, October 1st.
As is the case every year, a new edition of the ever-popular video game also brings new player ratings based on their performances from the season before.
Moreover, the FIFA ratings for Toronto FC’s current first-team roster have been revealed by EA ahead of the upcoming release date.
Alejandro Pozuelo leads the way as Toronto’s highest rated player (80). Fellow DP Yeferson Soteldo is the Spaniard’s closest challenger with a rating of 77. Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Jonathan Osorio, Kemar Lawrence, Richie Laryea and Chris Mavinga make up the other TFC stars with a rating of 70+.
In FIFA 22, Toronto has one less Gold player than they did in FIFA 21. Alejandro Pozuelo keeps his Gold status, but Michael Bradley has now dropped down to Silver. The Reds’ third Gold player in last year’s game was Pablo Piatti, who is now signed to Elche in La Liga.
Alongside Pozuelo, Soteldo is Toronto’s only other Gold player. Since the Venezuelan was at Santos when FIFA 21 came out, Soteldo did not have a card last year because EA do not own the rights to use players from the Liga Do Brasil in the game. TFC’s No. 30 last had his own card in FIFA 19, where he was given a rating of 71 during his loan spell at Universidad de Chile from Huachipato.
In terms of upgrades, Ayo Akinola had the biggest boost in his rating as he jumped from a 59 to a 66. Several others, including Osorio, Laryea and Alex Bono, also impressed EA enough to get their ratings increased this year.
There are also some new kids on the block, with Ralph Priso, Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, Luke Singh, Jordan Perruzza and Kevin Silva each receiving their first ever FIFA card.
