Manchester United‘s recent victory over Tottenham Hotspur has put them in a good position to secure a place in the top four of the Premier League table. However, another important fixture for the team is the FA Cup final against Manchester City, which is scheduled to take place on May 15th. Interestingly, it is being reported that Erik ten Hag, the head coach of Ajax, might already have a good idea about his team for the upcoming final.

Erik ten Hag is a highly acclaimed coach, who has achieved a lot of success with Ajax in recent years. His team has won the Eredivisie title and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2019. He is known for his tactical prowess and ability to get the best out of his players. It is no surprise, therefore, that his opinions on football matters are highly respected.

According to reports, Ten Hag has already shared his thoughts on Manchester United‘s approach to the FA Cup final with some of the United coaching staff. He is believed to have suggested that United should play with a high press and try to unsettle the City players from the beginning of the match.

The Dutch coach has also made some interesting suggestions regarding the team selection. He reportedly suggested that United should start with a three-Man backline of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka playing as wing-backs. This formation would allow United to be solid at the back while also having the ability to attack down the flanks.

Ten Hag is also believed to have suggested that United should play with a midfield trio of Fred, Scott McTominay, and Bruno Fernandes. This midfield combination would provide United with the necessary defensive cover while also giving Bruno Fernandes the freedom to create chances for the front three.

It remains to be seen how much influence Ten Hag’s suggestions will have on United‘s team selection for the FA Cup final. However, it is clear that his opinions are valued by the United coaching staff. His input could prove to be valuable in helping United to secure their first major trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In conclusion, Erik ten Hag’s opinions on Manchester United‘s approach to the FA Cup final could prove to be crucial in helping the team to secure a victory against Manchester City. Ten Hag is a highly respected coach who has achieved a lot of success with Ajax in recent years. His tactical insights could provide United with the edge they need to defeat their rivals and lift the FA Cup trophy.
