Some Liverpool fans on Twitter believe that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is finished at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was expected to start in midfield for the Reds’ trip to Brentford on Saturday night.
With Harvey Elliott, Naby Keita and Thiago all sidelined through injury, it made sense for the Liverpool boss to unleash the 28-year-old.
But instead, Klopp elected to play Curtis Jones and it paid off when the 20-year-old scored his side’s third goal of the night in this frenetic 3-3 draw.
Even when Liverpool needed a goal with 10 minutes remaining after the Bees equalised, the German manager didn’t turn to the former Arsenal attacker, who cost £40 million back in 2017.

And some fans of the Merseyside club believe that if Oxlade-Chamberlain can’t get a game when three of his rival midfielders are out injured then it’s ominous for him going forward.
Time to go?
In a word, absolutely.
Jones is a good player, but he’s eight years younger than Oxlade-Chamberlain and when academy lads are getting game time ahead of you, it’s very bad news.
With Georginio Wijnaldum leaving this past summer, this could’ve been a big season for the former Southampton gem at Liverpool.
But Klopp doesn’t seem convinced by him any longer and the evidence is seriously piling up.
The good news is that Oxlade-Chamberlain probably knows his time is up and with the transfer window opening for business again in three months, it makes sense for all parties if he were to go.
