Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has revealed that the Premier League is the most viable option for Italian midfielder Davide Frattesi. Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion are both reportedly interested in signing the 23-year-old, with the latter prepared to use the money generated from player sales to secure his transfer.

Frattesi’s versatility – he is able to play in the number 10 role or in the defensive pivot – makes him an attractive prospect to both clubs. In 37 appearances across all competitions this season, he has scored seven goals.

But it’s not just his skills on the pitch that make him a valuable addition to any team. Carnevali thinks Frattesi’s next destination will be in England and has even advised him to start learning English as soon as possible. This highlights the importance of communication and language skills in modern-day football.

In a globalized industry like football, it’s important that players are able to communicate with their teammates, coaches, and support staff. Being able to speak the language of the country they are playing in can make a huge difference in how well they integrate into their new surroundings both on and off the field. It can also help them build stronger relationships with their fans, which can create a positive impact on the team’s overall performance.

Language barriers can be an issue for players who move to a new country, as it can limit their ability to communicate and understand instructions. It can also lead to misunderstandings and other related issues that can disrupt the team dynamics and other aspects of the game, causing unwanted consequences.

In today’s game, clubs invest a lot of resources in scouting and recruitment to ensure they get the most talented and versatile players. But being able to communicate effectively and understand the culture of the team and the country they play in is also a vital part of a player’s skill set.

English is considered the universal language of football, spoken by players, coaches, and fans across different countries. For players who don’t speak English, it’s essential to learn the language to help them settle into their new environment and establish themselves as a vital part of their team.

In conclusion, language and communication skills are an essential part of a player’s skill set, especially if they’re playing in a foreign country. It’s important for players to learn the language of the country they’re moving to, to enable them to integrate and communicate effectively with their new team. Frattesi’s decision to start learning English soon after his transfer to England would be a smart move that would set him on the path to becoming a vital part of his new club.
