Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps are interested in signing Pedro Vite from Independiente del Valle. MachDeportes writer Sebastian Machado was the first to report the story on Monday stating that a transfer was imminent.

According to Machado the Whitecaps have already signed the 19-year-old central midfielder and will announce the deal in the next few days. Sources close to the club, however, were not able to deny or confirm the report. A U17 Ecuador national team player, Vite is considered a significant talent in Ecuador and can play both in central midfield but also on either wing in the attack.
