Four teams from each league

Major League Soccer and Liga MX have announced the participants of the 2021 Leagues Cup. The single-elimination tournament will see four clubs from each competition face each other in what has been described as an “intense, high-level international competition for clubs and fans alike across North America.”

The qualified Liga MX teams for this year’s tournament are Tigres UANL, UNAM Pumas, León, and Santos Laguna. They will join the four qualified MLS clubs: Sporting Kansas City, Orlando City, Seattle Sounders, and New York City FC.

Played in the United States, the quarterfinals are scheduled for August 10-12. The semifinals will then be played September 14-15 and the final on September 22 (check out the full league schedule here).
