Liam Gallagher urges Manchester City to sign Premier League star

Liam Gallagher has been doing a bit of scouting work for Manchester City, it would seem.

The former Oasis frontman and big City fan sent Pep Guardiola some transfer advice on Sunday ahead of his team’s crunch Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Gallagher must have been watching the earlier game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City live on Sky Sports.

He was certainly impressed by what he saw from Wolves winger Pedro Neto – and urged City to snap up the Portugal international.

Gallagher took to Twitter to say: “Pedro Neto c’mon Pep get him signed up.”

Neto enjoyed a good battle with compatriot Ricardo Pereira at Molineux, though neither side could ultimately find the breakthrough as the game ended in a goalless draw.

The 20-year-old has been at Wolves since signing from Braga for £16million in the summer of 2019.

He has made 70 appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.

This season, he has scored four goals and set up another four in 26 club appearances.

Manchester City blew yet another team away this week, dispatching Liverpool 4-1 away from home.

Neto made his senior international debut in November and scored in Portugal’s 7-0 friendly victory over Andorra.

City did not make any new signings during the recent January transfer window.

Could they look to make moves in the market in the summer? And the big question is, will they listen to Liam’s advice?!
