Leicester City and Southampton have both been relegated from the English Premier League this season, while Leeds United‘s relegation was confirmed after a 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Leicester City won the EPL title in 2016 against all the odds, but joined Blackburn Rovers as the only other former champions to be relegated. The Foxes will now face possible player exits, with the likes of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes linked with moves away from the club. Southampton finished 11 points adrift of safety, but Leeds’ relegation was confirmed on the same day as their loss. The final spot in the 2023/24 Championship will be decided in the League One Play-off Final between Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley.
