Inter Miami CF have signed Indiana Vassilev from Premier League side Aston Villa. The 20-year-old US youth international with a Bulgarian passport joins the club on loan until the end of the 2021 Major League Soccer season.
“Indiana is an exciting young talent who has a lot of potential,” said Inter Miami CF sporting director Chris Henderson in a club statement. “He’s comfortable and confident on the ball and fluid with his movement. We feel this is the right place for Indiana to further his development and reach his potential.”
A product of the IMG Academy, Vassilev joined Aston Villa’s youth setup in 2017. Able to play almost any position in the attack, Vassilev has made 60 appearances for Aston Villa on various levels (11 goals, six assists). Vassilev also made four appearances in the Premier League during the 2019/20 season.
