According to media reports, PSG will pay €60 million for the services of the former BVB player plus possible bonuses of €11 million – €8 million of which are said to be tied to easy-to-achieve targets. On July 2, 2020, the Nerazzurri bought the Moroccan winger for €41 million from Real Madrid, after he convinced for two years on loan at Dortmund, significantly improving his market value. The original transfer fee increased by €1 million when he won the league title.

After a tough start at Inter, he found his best form in Serie A, was a regular on the right wing in Antonio Conte‘s 3-5-2 system and was directly involved in 17 goals in the club’s title run. According to reports, Inter would like to use the fee for Hakimi to finance two wing-backs. In recent weeks, Filip Kostic (Eintracht Frankfurt), Emerson (Chelsea) and Emerson Royal (FC Barcelona) have been linked with the Nerazzurri.

Inter would have liked to keep the youngster, but were dependent on income. Hakimi’s profile is so interesting to clubs that they are paying large sums for him despite the financial consequences of Covid-19 – the Moroccan has been responsible for two of the 14 most expensive transfers since the pandemic broke out in 2020. Jadon Sancho will be at the top of the ranking, as soon as his €85 million transfer from BVB to Manchester United is officially announced by the Red Devils.
