FIFA 22 is officially released on Google Stadia on Friday 1st October 2021, but how can players access the game on the service?

Stadia is a cloud-based gaming service that can be played on a variety of different screens and systems that players likely already own.

Here is everything you need to know about FIFA 22 and how to play the game on Google Stadia.

FIFA 21 was the first game in the series to be released on the Stadia system, which came out late in the game’s life cycle in December 2020 for a reduced price.

FIFA 22 is the first game in the series to get a release on Stadia the same day as the ‘traditional’ console and PC releases on Playstation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and Nintendo Switch.

Here's how to play FIFA 22 on Google Stadia

How can I play FIFA 22 on Stadia?

Players can purchase FIFA 22 on the Stadia store, with the standard edition of the game being available for £59.99.

If you pre-order the standard edition of the game on Stadia you can receive the following bonuses:

  • Team of the Week 1 Player
  • Kylian Mbappé Loan Item, for 5 FUT matches
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick, for 3 FUT matches
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent, local youth prospect with world-class potential

What’s interesting about Stadia is that players do not need to install games anywhere to play them, as the system is built entirely on a cloud-based service.

With Stadia being cloud-based, it also means that gamers can play across the majority of screens that they have in their home, including tablets, mobile phones, PC/Laptop and potentially even gaming consoles down the line.

Even lower-spec PCs will be able to play FIFA 22, as it works just like a streaming service such as Netflix, so your hardware is not actually being put to use whilst you’re playing the game, giving players with lower-spec systems a smoother experience and the chance to play the latest next-gen titles.

You also do not need to purchase Stadia Pro to play FIFA 22, as once you have paid the initial fee for the game you do not need to pay any extra for online capabilities.
