A few of these have been obvious contenders for a little while. Van Persie has been long-awaited since his retirement along with Casillas and Sneijder. For those wondering about Cha Bum-Kun, he peddled around his native South Korean leagues for a short while but was most famous for his spectacular striking roles in the Bundesliga. Looking him up, I really enjoyed that one of the first lines of his Wikipedia page reads: “Cha was known for his thick thighs, which showed explosive pace and powerful shots.” The fact that the rights to these players have been agreed for FIFA Online 4 suggests that EA has a relationship with the players and representatives, but that does not guarantee a place in the next version of the game.
The other bit of news mostly pertains to the beta, which apparently went up today for a select few North American players. From the beta, the leaker shared this screenshot of the menu.
More is promised to be on the way regarding features, but for now, this is the only major image we have. The menu is clean and features placeholders. It confirms the return of the Volta mode, although, considering the work that went into it in FIFA 21, that was pretty much a certainty. That bright purple light in the top right-hand corner might be a little irritating if you are playing in a dark room, though.
So, thoughts on the icons? Anybody else thinks that the purple spotlight might be a retina killer? Let us know all about it in the comments!
