With Brexit closing the door to Europe, Premier League clubs appear to be looking elsewhere in pursuit of exciting young talents brimming with potential.
And, just one week after Wolves completed the £4.5 million signing of Colombian centre-back Yerson Mosquera, it seems their Midland-based neighbours are taking a leaf out of the Wanderers’ book.

Aston Villa were forced to rip up their entire transfer strategy after those pesky Brexit rules came into force five months ago.
After spending the last few years scouring Poland, Holland and Spain in search of a diamond in the rough, Villa are shopping in a completely new market these days.
Will Aston Villa bring Argentina’s Julian Alvarez to England?
According to Calciomercato, the agent of River Plate’s Argentina international Julian Alvarez is heading to Europe this week.
He will hold talks with not only Aston Villa but Ajax too, as the fight for his £15 million-rated client heats up.
It would not be unfair to suggest that the 20-year-old River Plate youngster is not exactly a household name on the streets of Birmingham.
You’d imagine that Alvarez’s Wikipedia page has had more visitors than Kings’ Cross at rush hour over the last 48 hours or so.
And while YouTube compilations can be deceiving, a glimpse of Alvarez in full flow suggests that the youngster – who has been included ahead of Emi Buendia in Argentina’s Copa America squad – would add plenty of speed, skill and excitement to Dean Smith’s frontline.
The reaction from River Plate supporters speaks volumes too. Alvarez, some say, is a ‘generational talent’; one who would be a huge loss to a side with 36 domestic titles under their belt.
