Frank Lampard has confirmed his future plans following his second spell in charge of Chelsea, expressing his happiness to see his former club Everton avoid relegation from the Premier League this season. Lampard was appointed as Chelsea’s caretaker manager last month, but the team finished just 12th this season, their worst outcome since 1993-94. Discussing his plans for the future, Lampard said he would take a break after an intense period: “I’ve given it my all, we’ll see what happens”. After less than a year in charge, Lampard was sacked by Everton in January, after nine losses in the iast 12 league games, slipping to second from bottom with just 15 points from 20 games. Everton survived at the expense of Leicester and Leeds, securing their survival with a narrow victory over Bournemouth on the final day.
