Portuguese U19 national team player
Atlético Madrid have announced their first transfer of the season. As expected, the Rojiblancos have signed Marcos Paulo from Fluminense. The 20-year-old joins the Spanish champions on a free transfer and has signed a deal until Jun. 30, 2026. The deal has been understood to be close for several months, and Goal reported it as a done deal last January.
The striker was born in Brazil but has been part of the Portugal setup since 2018. The forward, who can play both on the wing and in the center has scored 11 goals and ten assists in 65 games for his club. With a market value of €9 million, Marcos Paulo is among the most valuable Série A players and among the most valuable free agents available this summer.
