Across four episodes, Ask Wolves will see supporter questions answered by Jeff Shi and the club’s senior management team of Matt Wild, Scott Sellars, Russell Jones and Vinny Clark, with Wednesday’s show focused primarily on the football side of the business.

Topics covered include Ruben Neves’ contract, the sale of Diogo Jota, the club’s scouting and injury prevention processes, Financial Fair Play complications and the progress of Fabio Silva.

The maiden instalment can be accessed across the across the club’s social media channels, Wolves TV and wolves.co.uk, as Shi, Wild and Sellars answer questions posed by Sky Sports reporter and Wolves fan Johnny Phillips.

The topic summer transfers began a compelling and insightful watch, with Sellars reflecting on the progress of Fabio Silva – a 2020 recruit, who capped his debut season by being named Young Professional of the Year.

Sellars said: “There’s an adaption period that I’ve seen in my years in football. I remember seeing David Silva in his first season [at Manchester City] find it difficult – for me one of the best Premier League players ever.

“Fabio’s character is outstanding. I think he’s had a difficult time, and how he’s come through it, now you can see the potential in him as a footballer.

“There’s no doubt it was a season we thought he would be learning off Raul, getting parts of the season, really learning about the Premier League, and obviously he got thrust into it a lot quicker, but I think now you’re really starting to see him settle into the football.

“The boy can score goals and can finish – I think he’s really clever. I watch him quite regularly in training and I think his finishing quality is very high and I think he’s come through the whole season really well. We’re really hoping, and looking for, a positive season next year as well.”

Meanwhile, Wild was able to provide updates on the logistical elements of running a football club, in his role as general manager of football operations.

On whether transfer business would be completed early this summer, he said: “I think it’s going to be really difficult because of the Euros. We’ve got players who could go through to 11th July and are going to need a holiday. People realistically might not be back with their clubs until the end of July, so I really don’t think a lot is going to be happening until August.

“The transfer window shuts at the end of August this year, so I think it could go right to the wire – hopefully not with us, we do normally like to get our squad in order. I think we’ve always tried to get the squad in order before the season starts, but I think, unfortunately, the Euros will prevail.”

Supporters can find the 45-minute video on Wolves TV and YouTube at now, while an audio version will be released in the form of a podcast.
