From the record-breaking feats of Cristiano Ronaldo in the group stage to the relentless drama provided by the knockout phase, UEFA EURO 2020 has delighted and enthralled from start to finish.

Now, the moment of truth has arrived for the two teams that will contest this eagerly awaited encounter at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium. Following their semi-final successes, they have prepared for this showpiece occasion knowing that they must make one last concerted effort to emerge victorious and lift the coveted Henri Delaunay Trophy – bringing joy to their fans and sparking celebrations across their country.

The players who take the field for the tournament finale are on the verge of European glory and football immortality. The winners will write their names into a fresh new chapter in the annals of European football’s history, and will be regarded as heroes by millions of fans spanning all generations. For the players and coach of the winning team, they will be able to reflect with satisfaction on a job well done – a fitting reward for the preparation and dedication spent moulding a winning unit and working towards achieving a common goal.

UEFA EURO 2020 has kept all of us spellbound over the past four weeks, with many of Europe’s finest players excelling on this privileged international stage. We already have countless moments to remember, and fans have been captivated as the tournament has unfolded. We have celebrated 60 years of European national team football’s premier competition in a fitting manner, and the EURO has proved the importance of national team football as a source of national footballing pride and unity.
