Jamie O’Hara has stated that if Tottenham secure the transfer of Alessandro Bastoni, then it would be a ‘brilliant signing’, as he told Sky Sports News.
The former Spurs midfielder added that ‘special things could be happening’ if the north London club get their recruitment on point.
At this moment in time, three players have joined the Tottenham ship this summer, with Yves Bissouma being the big-money signing.
Both Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster arrived as free-transfers, with the experienced duo bringing in much-needed depth to Antonio Conte’s side.
Nonetheless, O’Hara thinks another centre-back is needed at Spurs, as he made his feelings clear on Bastoni.

“I would like to see us sign another left-sided centre-half,” said O’Hara. “I know we are in for Bastoni, which would be a brilliant signing.
“Just getting the recruitment right in the right areas, then special things could be happening.”
TOTTENHAM INTERESTED IN BASTONI
With two Italians in the boardroom – Fabio Paratici and Conte – it’s understandable that Spurs are fishing in the Serie A market.
Inter Milan defender Bastoni is a player they are trying to bring to the club, with Conte winning the title with him two seasons ago.
But, according to Italian journalist, Mina Rzouki, she shared that the Inter fans are threatening a ‘backlash’ if their fan favourite Bastoni leaves.
After watching their rivals AC Milan lift the title this season, those at Inter will want to regain their crown and it’s not going to happen by their key players leave again.
